i'll follow...until it is too hard...

I’ll follow Jesus....until it’s too hard.

Jesus told us to follow Him was to carry our cross. A burden. A cost. Not easy. So many though become Christians without understanding the cost. We exhort the positives, and there are many, but disregard the hard parts, which cause many to fall away...as they are unprepared. The seed.

Faith is about trust. But is our faith simply just trust? Look at the world around you, the complexity of it all, and tell me it was all happenstance. That requires blind faith. The book “The Case for Christ” was written by a detective who though the resurrection was a falsehood, but became a follower of Christ with the overwhelming evidence he found both in scripture and other sources. Read it....

The “fact” of science changes daily. Just look at the science of eggs, red meat, stretching, opioids, cancer drugs and the list goes on. What we are sure of today, is found wrong tomorrow.

In the end, we owe it to ourselves to dive deeper into our faith. Study scripture, find facts in there. Talk with others, mature your faith. Guard your heart, put on the full armour of the Lord, and have fellowship with God.

Most importantly, put your faith in Jesus. Not a building, a pastor, an elder, your spouse, not a YouTuber, or anything but Jesus. They will all let you down....He will not. I’d rather trust Him, than put my faith in a constantly moving moral line, ever changing science, and celebrity of the day.

It’s wager...where do you place your eternity?
